The LOGIC Multiplex team are delighted to be attending The 46th Apimondia International Apicultural Congress taking place in Montréal, Canada between 8-12 September 2019.

Consortium members Nicola Kane and Cherith Morris (Fortress Diagnostics / Biorex Food Diagnostics) will be in attendance at the congress to promote the LOGIC multiplex research and development project “Nano-array lateral flow diagnostics for the rapid detection of antibiotics in food.”

Visit booth #C140 to find out more about the project, which aims to provide a novel rapid multiplex test for multi-analyte antibiotic screening, suitable for use in both the seafood and honey industries and not currently offered on the market anywhere worldwide.

About The 46th Apimondia International Apicultural Congress

The Scientific Program for the 46th Apimondia International Apicultural Congress covers a wide range of topics of interest to researchers and beekeepers alike, including Advances in Honey Bee Genomics, the Impact of Pesticides on Bees, Breeding for Mite and Disease Resistance, the Detection and Prevention of Honey Fraud, Technical Innovations in Beekeeping, Honey Bee Nutrition, the Status and Conservation of Pollinators, Treatment-Free Beekeeping as well as Citizen Science and Bees.  In addition, the congress will host two symposia sponsored by the OIE, the World Organization for Animal Health, on topics related to bee diseases, pests and the world-wide movement of bee stock.

The congress will include scientific posters organised into symposia themes; keynote presentations by world-renowned authorities; formally-organized round tables, permitting the interchange of ideas between audience members and selected panelists; and interactive workshops, providing practical tools, skills and ideas to participants.
